What is Cancer?

Cancer is a condition which affects the cells in the body, all the organs and tissues in the body are made up of cells which automatically reproduce to replace old or worn out cells. In some cases cells reproduce themselves in an uncontrolled way which leads to large amounts building up forming a tumour.

Tumours can be either Malignant or Benign and it’s the malignant ones which are given the name Cancer. Cancer cells can spread to other parts of the body by travelling along the blood stream. There are many different types of Cancer which include:
