Travel Insurance Premiums
We tailor policies to fit individual needs and there are a few main factors which will influence the price:
Medical Status
If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, we will run through a few questions to assess your current health status. This enables us to offer a policy with the right level of cover for your individual circumstance.
Length of trip
The price of single trip travel insurance will be based on the day you leave UK until the day you arrive back in the UK. We sell and quote for the following number of days:
- Up to 5 days
- Up to 9 days
- Up to 17 days
- Up to 24 days
- Up to 31 days

Destination
You will find that European policies start at the lower end of the pricing structure with the USA, Caribbean and Canada at the highest. Prices tend to increase when travelling further from the UK and for countries that operate a high level of private healthcare.
Age
In the world of travel insurance, premiums tend to rise with age. Freedom has a set pricing structure for the following age groups:
- 18-59
- 60-65
- 66-70
- 71-75
- 76-80
- 81-85
Children under the age of 2 are free of charge and children between the ages of 2 -17 are half price. Quotes are based on age at date of departure.

When To Purchase Single Trip Travel Insurance
Your cover starts the moment you pay for it! Once you have booked and paid a significant amount towards a holiday, you may want to consider putting insurance in place. Freedom’s one trip travel insurance allows you to claim for expenses already incured (such as: booking deposits, flights, accommodation, tours and excursions) in the unfortunate event of having to cancel your holiday (terms and conditions apply).
