From babies and children to young people, adults, families and carers, we’re here to make sure no one faces liver disease alone. We provide trusted information and emotional support, while campaigning for better prevention, earlier diagnosis, improved treatment and care.
Liver UK is the new name for the charity created when the British Liver Trust and Children’s Liver Disease Foundation came together in 2024, bringing together decades of expertise, support and campaigning to create one stronger voice for liver health.

What We Do

This includes our nurse-led helpline, support groups, children’s and families’ support, and a wide range of patient information resources, ensuring that no one faces liver disease alone.
- WE EMPOWER PEOPLE TO IMPROVE THEIR LIVER HEALTH – We raise awareness of the risk factors associated with liver disease and help people take action early. Through initiatives like our Love Your Liver roadshow, we bring liver health advice and screenings directly into communities, workplaces, and public events.
- WE DRIVE IMPROVEMENTS IN TREATMENT AND CARE – We are putting liver disease on the map, campaigning nationally and locally to ensure it becomes a healthcare priority.
- WE PARTNER WITH HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS – We work alongside healthcare professionals to improve detection, treatment, and support.
