If you are already travelling:
- Register your presence with the UK government here.
- You must follow the latest guidance from the FCDO and local authorities at all times.
- If your return journey is disrupted, contact your airline or tour operator, as they are responsible for making alternative travel arrangements.
- Subject to policy terms, cover for emergency medical expenses not arising directly or indirectly from acts of war, conflict, or related events will continue to apply for individuals who travelled prior to the commencement of the current conflict. Emergency medical expenses arising directly or indirectly from acts of war, conflict, or related events are not typically covered. Claims will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. You should contact your emergency assistance provider, as detailed in your policy documents, for guidance and support.
If you are due to travel soon:
- If your travel plans are disrupted due to this conflict, please contact your tour operator or travel provider to make alternative arrangements or to request a refund.
- If the destination or dates of your trip change, contact us to adjust your travel insurance policy.
- If you were due to travel through an affected region, your airline remains responsible for making arrangements to ensure you reach your final destination.
Important reminders:
- All travel insurance policies contain exclusions relating to war and/or military conflict, whether declared or not.
- There is no cover for events that were public knowledge at the time a trip was booked or a travel insurance policy was purchased.
