Why Do We Wear It Pink?
Each year on 24th October, people across the UK come together to Wear It Pink – one of the nation’s biggest fundraising events during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. By wearing pink and raising money for Breast Cancer Now, you help fund vital research and life-changing support for everyone affected by breast cancer.
Wearing pink isn’t just about colour – it’s about connection, compassion, and change. It’s a simple way to:
Raise awareness of breast cancer
Show support for those affected
Fund research and support services through Breast Cancer Now
Together, we share one powerful goal:
That everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives, and is supported to live well.
Over 20 Years of Impact
For more than two decades, Wear It Pink has brought people together through bake sales, dress-up days, quizzes, and countless creative events. So far, the campaign has raised over £43 million for Breast Cancer Now.
But there is still work to do. Each year in the UK, over 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer, and around 11,500 women and 90 men lose their lives to the disease.
How Can I Get Involved?
Taking part is easy and enjoyable. When you sign up, you’ll receive a fundraising pack full of ideas to make your event shine pink – whether you’re at work, school, or home. From coffee mornings to bake-offs or pink-themed dress days, every effort helps fund progress and provide hope.
Together, We Can Make a Difference
Every pink outfit, every donation, and every conversation matters. By wearing pink this 24 October, you’ll be joining thousands of others to bring us closer to a future where everyone with breast cancer lives – and lives well.
Let’s Wear It Pink and make this October one to remember!
