Bowel Cancer Travel Insurance Cropped

Travel and holiday insurance for people with bowel cancer

Every day around 110 people in the UK are diagnosed with bowel cancer. We believe this shouldn’t stop you from getting away and making memories.

At Freedom we know that no two bowel cancer diagnoses are the same. That’s why we look at each case individually and do our best to offer suitable cover that fits your needs. Whether you’ve had radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery or a combination of treatments we’ll always try to find a policy that works for you and your individual circumstances.

If you’re undergoing treatment we understand it may be harder to get full cover. Even so we’ll do everything we can to offer a policy that meets your needs and helps you travel with peace of mind.

Why choose specialist bowel cancer travel insurance

The main advantage of taking out specialist cover is knowing that if your condition causes problems before or during your trip you will be protected. This includes financial protection against unforeseen events that could impact your holiday.

Standard travel insurance may not provide cover for complications related to bowel cancer. For example if you have a stoma due to an ileostomy or colostomy and this causes an issue while you are away a regular policy may not cover it. With our specialist policy complications linked to your cancer would be included.

You will also be covered for emergency medical expenses that may arise while abroad. This includes medical care for symptoms directly or indirectly related to your bowel cancer or its treatment.

You can add friends or family to the same policy so that if something affects your trip everyone on the policy can claim for cancellation or medical emergency abroad. It also means medical expenses for travel companions may be included where applicable.

Our insurance for cancer patients is designed to help reduce stress and avoid unexpected costs while travelling. Choosing appropriate travel insurance is an important step in protecting your health and travel plans.
