Travelling after a stroke doesn’t need to feel daunting. Whether you’ve had a stroke, TIA, mini stroke or brain haemorrhage, we’re here to help you travel with confidence and the right cover.
We know planning a holiday after a stroke comes with its own challenges. At Freedom Insurance, our goal is to take the stress out of finding the right policy so you can focus on the excitement of getting away.
Every stroke is different. Some people recover quickly, while others experience longer-term symptoms such as fatigue, mobility issues or an increased risk of falls. If your doctor’s confirmed it’s safe for you to travel, we’ll work with you to create the right travel insurance policy that reflects your unique situation. This includes any related medical conditions such as atrial fibrillation or high blood pressure.
Whether your stroke happened recently or several years ago, we take your full health picture into account. We also consider important practical needs such as mobility aids or support with travel arrangements.
And if something unexpected happens, such as a change in your health before your trip or a medical emergency while you’re away, you’ll have a team behind you that understands your condition and is ready to support you when it matters most. Our policies can include cover for emergency medical expenses, emergency treatment and any required medical treatment, helping to protect you from unexpected costs while abroad.
We also understand that some travellers rely on private treatment overseas. That’s why our policies can be built around your needs and preferences, making sure you’ve got the right cover in place. You can even protect essential medical equipment needed during your trip under selected travel insurance cover options.
Getting covered is simple and straightforward. You can apply online or give us a call. Our friendly and experienced team will guide you through the process from start to finish. We’ll ask a few health-related questions to tailor your quote, including information about your stroke, your medical history and any pre existing conditions.
Once complete, we’ll provide a range of travel insurance policy options that include cover for emergency medical expenses, medical treatment, trip cancellations, travel delays, baggage protection, personal possessions and more. You’ll be able to travel with complete peace of mind, knowing your travel insurance cover is built around your needs as a stroke survivor.
If you need help or have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to make sure you get the right policy and the right cover for your specific situation.
