The Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) is extended form 1st January 2017 to include business transacted outside the United States which involves risk 'touching' the US.
This 'touch' means that any policy for a US citizen, US resident or company AND/OR placing business for NON-US policyholders, involving US property or liability risks in the US (which includes travel cover with US coverage) are now affected.
