Mission

Our mission is to create a safe environment for everyone with serious allergies by working with and educating the food industry, schools, pre-schools, colleges, health professionals and other key groups.

They’re feeling frightened, isolated, overwhelmed and confused. Anaphylaxis UK is somewhere people can go to, not just for information, but for someone to lean on. Our work provides a sense of community to those that feel alone in their struggle against serious allergies.

From eating in schools to going on holiday, what are day-to-day activities for most people can present challenges for those at risk of a serious allergic reaction. However, we believe that with the right knowledge and support, the future is brighter for those living with serious allergies.

What We Do

Anaphylaxis UK provides evidence-based information and resources to help empower individuals and families with knowledge they need to manage their serious allergies.

We provide many services, including:

  • Our national helpline, hosted by our experienced information team, which offers information and support to people affected by serious allergies by phone or by email.
  • Free allergy alerts through our social channels and emailed directly to subscribers.
  • Evidence-based PIF Tick accredited factsheets, providing in depth knowledge on a wide variety of topics such as medicine, food allergens and non-food allergens.
  • Podcasts with leading experts in the field of allergies. Topics have included latex allergy, speaking to your GP, immunotherapy, and anxiety. Subscribe to our YouTube channel for more.

Mark your calendar for our next Anaphylaxis Awareness Week, taking place the first week of October. We’ll be hosting lots of events to raise awareness of serious allergies and anaphylaxis.
