You can apply here online or over the telephone; it’s quick, simple and totally confidential. To provide you with a quote, you’ll need to let us know where you are travelling to, and for how long. Make sure to declare all your pre-existing medical conditions for all travellers.
You will be guided through a medical screening questionnaire, where a series of relevant questions will be asked to assess your health and each individual condition. These questions should be answered accurately and to the best of your knowledge.
You will then be presented with available policy options, which include cover for declared medical conditions as well as cover for cancellation, baggage, personal accident and lots more.
Freedom has three levels of cover, the cover limit depends on the cover level selected. Benefits are per person, per trip.

Freedom travel insurance policies are only available to permanent UK residents who are registered with a GP in the UK. Cover is not available to residents of the Channel Islands or IOM. You must be fit to travel at the time of purchasing insurance cover.
We use a medical risk assessment tool to enable us to provide you with a quote. You will be asked a number of questions about your medical status. From the information provided we will base our quotes on your health status.
Yes. Our whole aim is to cover you fully, if you do not declare all of your pre-existing medical conditions then you will not be fully covered in the event of a claim and risk invalidating your insurance.
As we operate an on-going medical warranty, you will need to inform us of any health changes that occur between your quotation/purchase date and the date of travel. We may be required to ask additional questions to ensure your travel insurance is up to date and fully covering you for the trip.
We cover you from the time you start your trip right up until the day you return back to the UK, (except for cancellation cover which starts when you buy the policy and ends when you start your trip).
We accept all major debit and credit cards except American Express. You can make payment online during the customer quote journey, or by calling the Freedom team on 01223 454 290.
We’ll consider cover for people while they are receiving medical treatment including chemotherapy. We base all our quotes on individual circumstances. However, we cannot cover the actual cost of any on-going treatment that you know you will require during the trip, such as dialysis or the cost of chemotherapy treatment itself.
